How practice works
- Every test is IELTS Academic, with all four skills: Listening (4 parts, 40 questions), Reading (3 passages, 40 questions), Writing (Task 1 and Task 2) and Speaking (Parts 1, 2 and 3). Listening and Speaking are the same in General Training, so they suit those candidates too.
- Practise one part at a time, untimed, to learn a question type, or take the whole test as a timed full mock: Listening 30 minutes, Reading 60, Writing 60.
- Listening and Reading are marked against the answer keys and show the right answers, so you can review each mistake. Your score becomes an estimated band.
- Writing and Speaking answers can get AI feedback on the four IELTS criteria, with an estimated band and what to improve next.
- Your answers, notes and timers save to your account, so you can continue on another device. Practice is free with an account.
- Every band is a practice estimate, not an official IELTS score. EdSol is not affiliated with IELTS.
